Melda's Elite Cuts

Melda came to the SBDC for help in moving her business from Early to Brownwood.  Melda’s salon had been in its currently location for years in Early and suddenly the building and lot were being put on the market.  She need a new location and funding to make it happen.   Her biggest concern was “would her clients be willing to follow her if she moved into Brownwood”.   The SBDC helped her develop a business plan along with income and cash flow projections for her to use in making her business decisions. These were then used in a loan proposal package they presented to their bank.  Melda’s loan was approved and she also received grant money from the Brownwood MDD Board to complete her project.  Melda has been very successful in her new location and all her customers had no problem following her to the new location.
